The Sichuan pepper or Sansho is from Sichuan province in the south of China and the foothills of the Himalayas. In fact the Sichuan pepper as the Sansho and the fruit of a small shrub of the m'mes families of orange and lemon trees giving small seeds. The latter are picked and dried like pepper, taste is both spicy and very full in the mouth, for against the Sansho is very lemony. It enters the composition of the five Chinese spices and seven Japanese spices commonly known sichitimitogorashi.
